April 2015

Update for:                             #33

                                        Class of 1960

                                      Ladies Luncheon

                                      April 24, 2015

Nineteen classmates attended our 33rd “Class of ‘60 Ladies Luncheon”, at Country Cafe in Lockeford.

Those in attendance were:  Wanda Ballew, Kathleen Banegas, Dianne Cooper, Janie Keir, Sandy Lind, Marcie Lowe, Sydney Matts, Carla Norris, Marilyn Ostermann, Margaret Phipps, Jeanne Reimche, Annette Reiswig, Marsha Sanger, Mavis Seibel, Sharon Tanaka, Lynette Walther, Kathy Welsh, Janet Woehl and Janice Woehl.

Emails of regret, but tell everyone hello, came from: Maralyn Blewett, Judy Bouska, Sharon Christopherson, Gayle Deutscher, Carolyn DeVinny, Starla Filler, Lesley Fitzer, Cherie Flower, Claire Fujita, Marjorie Garrison, Kathy Kammerer, Karen Krause, Nilita Lerza, Carolyn Marshall, Georgia Maul, Shirley Mock, Judy Remmick, Maxine Schaffer, Donna Schumacher, Karen Sterling and Sue Welby.

We didn’t have “show ‘n tell”, but we surely all had a fun time chatting and catching up. Mavis and Kathy filled us in on some of the upcoming reunion details. We circulated a Get Well card for Sharon Edinger who’s fighting the “Big C”. I’m sure she’d appreciate a call or card. Here’s to BEATING IT!!! Marilyn Ostermann brought her father’s annual from the Class of 1928. What FUN looking through it. I hope she’ll bring it back, as it requires TIME to appreciate.

I must apologize for writing down the WRONG address, as I used a phone book from 2013-2014. Only one classmate went to the wrong place, sorry Marcie, as the restaurant moved to this new location about one year ago. Her GPS works fine, though. As she said, she doesn’t sweat the small things.

Mavis and I worked for several hours last Sunday comparing our lists. I had to rely on my memory, as to those who answered my request to verify e-dresses, as I didn’t have the list from the #32 update in front of me. I’m certain I’ve forgotten someone, so you might also receive a hard copy in the mail from Mavis. We don’t want to forget anyone, so if you receive a hard copy it’s because my brain was on a “field trip”. You’re still in my e-dress file. I will send out information about our upcoming 55th high school reunion via the internet today, if I have your correct contact information.

I received e-mails from several of our classmates telling me about the death of our classmate Bill Kennedy. I will attach his obituary from the Lodi paper that I copied online.

Please forgive me if I forgot to mention someone or in someway neglected something. Mea Culpa

Stay HEALTHY, SAFE, and HAPPY and hope to see at our next gathering. Enjoy life; it does have an expiration date!

PS:   If you’d like to be deleted from this list of LUHS Class of ‘60 e-dresses, pretty PLEASE just let me know, and I won’t send out further updates. Richard Coulter told me that he recently lost 55 pounds and Clyde Ehrhardt said, “Tell the girls they’re looking great”.
